What is a PPF file

PPF files mostly belong to PaintShop by Corel. PPF filename extension is associated with bitmap image files created with Picture Publisher, an image processing software that was replaced by PaintShop. These images can be opened with CorelDRAW. Some PPF files in PaintShop contain soft plastic presets used to add plastic effects to images. PPF filename extension is also used by files containing parts or component models created with Edgecam, a computer-aided manufacturing software. Such PPF files comprise machine code, toolpaths, textures, and geometry data required to construct or repair a product. How to open PPF files

You need a suitable software like PaintShop to open a PPF file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
